Lawn Restoration
A lawn restoration project to remove moss and allow the grass to breathe again
- Location:
- Exeter
If you have a lawn, chances are that it may be over-run with moss or weeds. If so, it can vary between brown in the summer and spongy in the winter.
We took on this garden under weekly maintenance, and completed a lawn health check. Where we identified the existing grass species and that the lawn was choked with moss.
We could see the lawn had potential and would benefit from restoration rather than a costly replacement.
Our high quality scarifier machine is one of the best in the industry. We used this to remove all the moss – several large bags in total.
We alternated between scarifying and mowing to uncover the soil and get oxygen and moisture to the lawn roots. After this, we top-dressed the lawn with a fine mixture of sand and loam. To finish, we seeded with a premium ornamental grass seed and a seasonal lawn fertiliser. Later, we followed up with a further application of fertiliser and weed control spray.
We feel proud to see the transformation of the old lawn into a lush, green space and the enjoyment of its use by the customer.
