Wildlife Friendly Garden

Any outdoor space can be wildlife friendly.

Location:
Stoke Canon

A front garden with a difference, the aim of this project was to create a wildlife friendly garden.
Our client wanted us to create a low-maintenance, colourful front garden, which supported a range of pollinators and other wildlife.

Using the existing slope of the land, allowed for a better view of the garden from the windows. We created a central bed in a circular layout for interest by using powder coated steel that would last.

We then planted a selection of low-maintenance shrubs, and wildflower plants such as Monarda, Verbena and Fennel. Additionally, we planted a row of scented Lavender alongside the driveway that would also support pollinators. We also included taller flowers in the design so butterflies, bees and other pollinators could be seen more easily from the home. Furthermore, we planted interesting ground cover plants, designed to spread, and fill the gaps, reducing the need for future weeding.

The customer was very happy with the finished result, and we believe the local wildlife was too.
